|Something sharp from the body of a defeated Abyssal Sire.|
The abyssal dagger is a dagger that requires 70 Attack to wield. It can be obtained from using an unsired, dropped by the abyssal sire, on the Font of Consumption. Players have a 13/64 (20.31%) chance of receiving one when doing so. Players can also receive one from a regular abyssal demon, albeit at a much rarer rate of 1 in 32,000.
Its special attack hits twice in quick succession with a 25% increase in accuracy and 15% reduced damage, costing 50% special attack energy. The first hit of the special attack must deal damage in order for the second to deal damage as well, otherwise both will miss. The highest the dagger can possibly hit with its special is 40-40 against players and 46-46 while using a salve amulet (e) against the undead with both hits.
The abyssal dagger surpasses the staff of the dead in both strength and accuracy, with +5 more attack bonus, and +3 more strength bonus, which makes the abyssal dagger the best one-handed weapon for training strength. The biggest difference between the two is that the abyssal dagger is primarily a stab weapon, and the staff is primarily a slash weapon. The Zamorakian hasta surpasses it as a stab weapon due to higher accuracy, a prayer bonus and defensive stats but it can only give shared or Defence XP.
