Cactus spines are harvested from a grown cactus in the Cactus patch in Al Kharid and grants 25 farming experience for each spine. Cacti require level 55 Farming to grow. They are used, along with Red spider's eggs, to make weapon poison+.
Players may also pay a farmer 10 spines to care for a Yew tree, but this is not recommended because of the spine's high cost compared to a Yew seed. One cactus can produce up to 3 spines at 25 minutes per spine.
Alternate ways to obtain cactus spines include looting nature impling jars which can be obtained through the Hunter skill, or by killing the Kalphite Queen or Scorpia, both of which may drop 10 noted cactus spines.
