Copper ore is an ore, which can be smelted in a furnace along with a piece of tin ore to create a bronze bar. Copper ore, along with tin ore, are the first ores a player can mine using the Mining skill, and has no requirements to mine. Mining one copper ore grants 17.5 Mining experience. After being mined, a copper ore rock takes approximately 2 seconds to respawn.
Copper rocks can be found in various mines across the map. Copper along with tin is mainly used for low level smiths. Many prefer completing the The Knight's Sword quest, a F2P quest that grants 12,725 Smithing experience, enough experience to increase a player's level 1 Smithing to level 29 Smithing.
Power training Mining (P2P)Edit
For members, it is not really known that players can power level the Mining skill with copper ore in the Port Khazard mining site. This is because of two fast respawning tin rocks that are very close to a bank deposit box. These two tin rocks are the closest mining rocks to a fast bank source.
A player can smelt copper ore into a bronze bar through the Smithing skill by using it on a furnace along with a tin ore, granting 6.2 Smithing experience; this requires level 1 Smithing. Bronze bars can then be used on anvils with a hammer to create Bronze items (Some things may need more than 1 bar, such as a battleaxe).
