Dragonstones are purple gems used in Crafting. Uncut dragonstones require level 55 Crafting to cut, granting 137.5 Crafting experience per stone. An uncut dragonstone can be cut into 12 dragon bolt tips by using a chisel on an uncut dragonstone at level 71 Fletching giving 8 experience. Attempting to do this will bring up a message asking if the player is sure that they want to do so as the stones are valuable.
Uncut dragonstones may be found in the crystal chest in Taverley using a crystal key; each crystal key guarantees one uncut dragonstone from the chest with a chance of specific different items. Additionally, some higher level monsters (such as the King Black Dragon and Fire giants) may drop cut dragonstones on rare occasions or they can be looted from a dragon impling jar.
The dragonstones occasionally found in the Mage Training Arena minigame are different from normal dragonstones because the Mage Training Arena "dragonstones" cannot be taken outside the enchanting chamber: furthermore, they provide pizazz points when any enchantment spell is used on them.
Dragonstones can be forged in a furnace with a gold bar and the appropriate mould to produce the following jewellery, which can then be targeted with Lvl-5 Enchant for additional functionality.
|55||Dragonstone ring||100||Ring of wealth|
|72||Dragon necklace||105||Skills necklace|
|74||Dragonstone bracelet||110||Combat bracelet|
|80||Dragonstone amulet||150||Amulet of glory|
