An empty spice shaker is what remains of red spice, orange spice, yellow spice, or brown spice after using up all the doses. The empty shaker cannot be refilled, traded, nor sold. It is a useless item.
It is not recommended to store huge quantities of empty shakers in the bank, as they cannot be withdrawn in noted form, resulting in quite a bit of time trying to drop or discard them one-by-one.
Although with the update of the Item Incinerator, destroying empty spice shakers is much easier.
