Fever spiders are monsters that require a Slayer level of 42 to kill. Players must wear Slayer gloves while fighting them, or face being damaged repeatedly and becoming diseased. High level players won't need a lot of food (tuna should be enough). Fever spiders are considered to be a relatively fast task due to the large quantity of spiders, their low defence and lack of drops.
Slayer gloves are not necessary however, if you plan on using the safe spot. There is one main one worth mentioning, in the south west corner. Next to the corner there are 3 crates sitting next to each other in a line. If you stand in front of the middle crate, you can hit spiders that walk by on either side.
Note that due to the erratic pathing of the spiders, your player may run out of the safe spot accidentally while initially attacking. Therefore extra caution is advised if you aren't wearing Slayer gloves, as this may cause you to become diseased. A good strategy to combat this is to click the spider once to attack, then immediately click on the safe spot. This will cause you to come back before you run out too far.
