|A Penance Fighter torso armour.|
The Fighter torso, or Penance torso, is a piece of armour that requires 40 Defence to wear and is rewarded from the Barbarian Assault minigame. Fighter torsos can be purchased from Commander Connad in exchange for 375 honour points in all four roles and having killed the Penance Queen.
Compared to a rune platebody, the Fighter torso has less defence bonuses and a greater magic-attack penalty, but it is tied with the Bandos chestplate for having the highest strength bonus (+4) for the body slot, making it a popular equipment choice. The Fighter torso does not interfere with the effects of Ava's attractor or accumulator.
Upon death players are able to return to the location of which they died (including the wilderness but only until level 20 wilderness as any untradeable item is dropped past level 20 wilderness turns into coins) and retrieve the Fighter torso. The player will have a time span of roughly one hour to re-loot before it disappears. This can also be used if a player wishes to get a second torso as long as you have the required points for it.
If the player dies below level 20 Wilderness and the torso is not protected, it will be dropped on the ground. This means the player can return to where they had died and re-obtain it. However, the item will be unusable and must be repaired with 50,000 coins by using the item on Perdu.
The Fighter Torso is an item used in a master clue, requested by Falo the Bard.
