|Flies like a rock.|
Gargoyles are Slayer monsters located in the Slayer Tower and the Stronghold Slayer Cave (requiring a slayer task), requiring 75 Slayer in order to be harmed. Gargoyles, like rockslugs, cannot be killed normally.
In order to kill a gargoyle, a rock hammer must be used when they reach 9 or lower hitpoints. This can be very click intensive and is not recommended; instead, buy the "Gargoyle Smasher" perk from the Slayer store (requiring 120 Slayer points), as you will automatically smash the gargoyle when it falls under 9 or lower hitpoints.
Many players believe that using the crush attack style when fighting gargoyles is ideal, even when the crush bonus on their weapon is weak. In reality, the only weapon that benefits from switching to a weaker crush style when fighting gargoyles is Dharok's greataxe or a Guthan´s spear. In all other cases, players are better off using the best style for their chosen weapon.
