Green dragons are a monster with a combat level of 79, and are the weakest of the chromatic dragons in RuneScape. They are found in various locations within the Wilderness. Green dragons are capable of breathing out dragonfire, which can hit up to 50 damage to players who are not wielding an Anti-dragon shield, or Dragonfire shield. Usage of a Antifire potion, or Protect from magic in conjunction with the aforementioned shields will provide complete immunity from dragonfire.
Green dragons are assignable by Slayer masters Vannaka and Chaeldar. If players wish to avoid the risks of the Wilderness when assigned green dragons as a slayer task it is possible to kill Baby green dragons within the Brimhaven Dungeon as an alternative. If players want to challenge themselves, brutal green dragons in the Ancient Cavern can be killed instead.
Green dragons will only be assigned to players with a combat level of 65+ as of the 26 May 2016 update. (60+ with some rare exceptions, 52+ with some ultra rare exceptions(Could have something to do with Dragon Slayer's quest.)
Warning: Locations where Green dragons roam are frequently visited by player-killers. If you intend on hunting Green dragons, an emergency teleport, high level food and some prayer potions are highly recommended in the event that you are attacked by a PKer.
Locations
- 3 Green dragons inhabit the area west of the Dark Warriors' Fortress, in between levels 12 and 14 Wilderness
- North of the Graveyard of Shadows (between levels 24 and 26 Wilderness)
- Directly south of the Lava Maze in between levels 35 and 37 Wilderness
- There are also several south-east of the Bone Yard in the Wilderness
