Lobster detail

A lobster is a type of fishable crustacean that players can use as food. They are amongst the most popular foods in the game, especially in free-to-play, because they heal 12 Hitpoints each and can easily be caught in bulk.

Players can catch raw lobsters with a Fishing level of 40 or higher, granting 90 Fishing experience. Lobsters can be caught at any Cage/Harpoon fishing spot with a lobster pot. Lobsters can also be cooked with a Cooking level of 40 or higher, granting 120 Cooking experience. Players will accidentally burn lobsters while cooking until they reach a Cooking level of 74 (or 64 with Cooking gauntlets).

Lobsters can be caught at Catherby, Rellekka, Jatizso, the peninsula south of Great Kourend's Piscarilius House, Karamja island near the banana plantation on Musa Point and in the Feldip Hills resource area, which is the best place for free-to-play players due to a bank being nearby (requires completion of Dragon Slayer and Corsair's Curse). They can also be caught in the north-eastern corner of the Wilderness, but this is also not recommended. Players may also fish for lobsters in the Fishing Guild, which requires level 68 Fishing to enter. Catherby is the recommended place for players with Fishing level lower than 68 to catch lobsters. Players with level 63-67 fishing can also use boosts such as the Admiral Pie to gain entrance to the Fishing Guild.

Lobsters yield 2,430 experience points per inventory when fishing (including the space taken by a lobster pot).
