Ruby ring detail

A Ring of Forging can be made by enchanting a ruby ring, using the spell Lvl-3 Enchant. If a player smelts iron ore while wearing the ring, it gives a 100% success rate. However, after smelting 140 iron ores while wearing it, the ring disintegrates. The number of times before it disintegrates depends on the wearer, not the ring. For example, if you smelt 139 iron ores, and sell the ring you were wearing, the buyer would have 140 uses unless he has had a remaining number from before. That means that alching the ring translates the amount of uses over to the next ring of forging you're going to use. Therefore, it is not recommended to alch the ring but simply to completely use it and let it disintegrate, especially if you're an ironman. NOTE: When using the Edgeville furnace while wearing Varrock Armour with Ring of Forging, there is a chance to smelt 2 bars at once. The ring's durability will only decrease by 1, meaning you smelt one bar for free.
