For the similar weapon known as the obsidian mace, see Tzhaar-ket-em. Template:RSW The Tzhaar-ket-om is also known as the obsidian maul, requiring a Strength level of 60 to wield. It is affected by the Berserker necklace, receiving a 20% damage increase when the necklace is worn.
This weapon has the same crush bonus as a godsword but it's wielding requirements aren't as high. Therefore, many Pure players go for this weapon for the low price and the ability to hit reasonably high for its requirements. However, it lacks the major strength, prayer and devastating slash bonuses that the godsword has.
This weapon is used commonly in player-killing because the only requirement is a Strength level of 60, which made it possible to have a low Combat level while being able to deal high amounts of damage.
