- The Halloween 2006 event has been opened for two weeks, offering a new black Halloween mask as well as the opportunity to obtain other Halloween-themed holiday items.
- As a temporary change during the current network difficulties, items dropped on death (excluding PvP situations) will not appear on the ground for 3 minutes. For a further minute they will then become visible only to the player who dropped them. After that they will be visible to all players. This change will be reverted once the network situation improves.
- The welcome screen no longer displays the address from which you last logged into RuneScape. This was removed in order to help protect your online security.
- The following bugs have been fixed:
- Commander Zilyana is now more vulnerable to the freezing effects of ice spells and the Zamorak godsword.
- Monsters in the God Wars dungeon that previously dropped medium-level clues have been upgraded to drop hard clues.
