We love hearing the thoughts and ideas of Old School players and RuneFest is a brilliant way for us to get in touch with some incredibly passionate and dedicated Old School 'Scapers. This year we will be offering Old School players that are attending RuneFest the opportunity to pitch an idea to us in person that they would like to see in-game.
How will it work?
Anyone going to RuneFest will be able to send us a pitch for an update that they would like to see in Old School (details below). We will then go through all of the pitches and select the ones that really stand out and sound like a good fit for Old School.
On the day of RuneFest, the player that submitted the pitch will get a 20 minute slot to discuss their idea with us (the Old School team)!
How do I submit a pitch?
If you are attending RuneFest you can submit a pitch by doing the following:
Send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
Include your username
Include the email address you used to purchase your RuneFest ticket
Pitches must be submitted by the 31st September and, if your pitch is one of those selected, you will be allocated a time to talk to the Old School team about your pitch by 7th October.
What will happen with the pitches after RuneFest?
The outcome of the pitches depends heavily on how good the pitches we end up getting are. If we get some excellent suggestions, we could end up seeing some of the content pitched to the players and polled (in a similar fashion to a player-design contest).
One thing to note is that, as with anything going into Old School, any ideas that are pitched and we like will still have to pass a poll to stand a chance at making it into the game.
We have high-hopes for this competition as we know just how imaginative and innovative our players are capable of being. Good luck to anyone entering, we look forward to seeing you in October!
