It's just a little update this week, while we're gearing up to next week's GWD launch.
We've adjusted the animations and code for slicing bananas, breaking certain POH tablets, drying sticks, playing with a rubber chicken and rubbing popular teleportation jewellery to stop these actions interfering with your walk animation or postponing combat damage. If you've got any more things like this that you'd like to report, please report them through the form so that Mod Reach can get on the case.
Waydar and Lumdo, in the Monkey Madness quest, have been updated to stop them showing their names as "mm_waydar" and "mm_lumdo" in dialogue boxes.
The Clan Battle Arena, where the forthcoming Clan Cup battles will take place, has had its maze section thinned out. There's still an area where players can show off their skill at catching their foe around obstacles, but the maze we previewed in last week's livestream was a bit too extreme.
Apart from that, we've made a balancing change to the overload potion of the Nightmare Zone minigame, since it's been a little too powerful, especially for players wearing Dharok's armour.
What we've done is to adapt the behaviour of the overload potion from its pre-EoC days, so it now hits you for 50 damage when you first get overloaded. Previously we'd copied that potion from the post-EoC game, by which time the damage was no longer dealt.
The damage is healed when the potion wears off. You are prevented from drinking the overload potion if the damage would be enough to kill you. The damage is not blocked by the absorption potion.
